An Invisible Way to Straighten Teeth Without Braces – Invisalign®
Not everyone is born to have nice straight teeth. Misaligned teeth not only affect one’s appearance, they could cause the person more reserved, less confident and even rather hide the smile. In this regard many people have thought of doing orthodontics to have their straight teeth back, however they start holding back when they think of the pain and discomfort inflicted by braces.
But have you thought an orthodontic treatment could still be comfortable and esthetic?
A Clear Alternative Invisalign is a virtually invisible solution so you can smile during as well as after treatment. In fact, virtually no one will know you’re wearing them unless you tell. By using a series of clear, removable aligners, Invisalign straightens your teeth right before your eyes. Change them about every two weeks and your teeth will move, little by little, towards the smile you have always wanted.
Invisible. Removable. And Comfortable Invisalign is comfortable to wear and it doesn’t require you to change your busy lifestyle. You visit your doctor every month or two to check your progression and get new aligners. Average treatment time is only about a year. Because aligners are removable, you can continue to eat your favorite foods while brushing and flossing
normally to keep your teeth and gums healthy. Compare Invisalign to other teeth straightening options below.Nothing else measures up to Invisalign clear advantages which provide another reason to smile. Compare Invisalign to other teeth straightening options below

Up to date, over 1,300,000 people in the world have put themselves in Invisalign to straighten their teeth. Simultaneously, Invisalign has been widely introduced to North and South America, Europe and Australia. As for Asia, Hong Kong was the first location to have this treatment introduced. In order to expand the treatment applicability and determine specific aligner properties, on-going clinical studies are conducted in both universities and private practices. Riding on the advances in technology development, Invisalign aims at giving both doctors and patients a better and “clearer” tomorrow.
FAQ Q:How does Invisalign work? A: Invisalign used 3D computer imaging technology to depict the complete treatment plan from the initial position to the final desired position from which a series of custom-made “Aligners” are produced. Each aligner moves teeth incrementally and is worn for about two weeks, then replaced by the next aligner until the final position is achieved.
Q: Does Invisalign really work? A: Yes. Over a million patients with a wide range of dental challenges have chosen to be treated with Invisalign.
Q: How long does Invisalign treatment take and how much does it cost? A: Same as traditional braces, the treatment duration and treatment cost depend on the severity of your teeth, and this also determines the number of aligners you need to use. The treatment time varies from 6 months to 2 years. Please consult with your Invisalign accredited orthodontist or dentist for details.
Q: How often will I have to wear my aligners? A: Invisalign only works while you are wearing the aligners. You are recommended to wear your aligners 22 hours or more a day except to eat, brush and floss your teeth, or as directed by your doctor.
Q: Any precaution has to be done after treatment to prevent my teeth from shifting to their previous positions? A: Same as traditional braces, you must wear retainers which will be ordered by your doctors after treatment to keep your teeth straight. There are different brands of retainer while Invisalign retainer looks the same as the Aligner. Discuss with your Invisalign accredited orthodontist or dentist for details.
Will Invisalign fit for me?
A confident smile and increased self-esteem aren’t the only benefits of correcting your smile with Invisalign your oral health can be positively enhanced as well. Learn more about several common issues below that an experienced Invisalign- ertified dental practitioner can work with you to correct.
 |
Overcrowded teeth occur when there is simply a lack of room within your jaw for all of your teeth to fit normally. When left untreated, overly crowded teeth can cause an increased chance of gum disease as your teeth are harder to clean and can prevent the normal function of teeth. |
 |
Widely spaced teeth occur when you have extra space within your jaw. This could be due to small sized teeth, abnormal growth of jaw bones, genetics, missing teeth and/or tongue protrusion. When teeth are missing, this can also be caused by the other teeth shifting due to extra space. Spacing issues can cause some perio-dontal diseases including gingivitis and periodontitis, that, left untreated, can lead to tooth loss. |
 |
Improper bite occurs when the upper and lower jaws are both misaligned. It usually causes one or more upper teeth to bite on the inside of the lower teeth, and can happen on both the front and/or the sides of the mouth. This issue can cause wear of the teeth, gum disease and bone loss. |
 |
Protruded upper auteriors occur when the upper teeth overlap significantly with the lower teeth. It is typically caused by either genetics, bad oral habits, or over development of the bone that supports the teeth. This issue can lead to gum problems or irritation, and/or wear on the lower teeth and can cause painful jaw and joint problems. |
 |
Underbites occur when the lower teeth protrude past the front teeth, usually caused by undergrowth of the upper jaw, overgrowth of the lower jaw, or both. It can also be caused by missing upper teeth. This issue can prevent the normal function of front teeth or molars which can lead to tooth wear. It can also cause painful jaw and joint problems. |
